A Dream Poetry moment with Janeene Hiney

“Sweat You No More, Sad Cyclo-tourist”

Sweat you no more, sad cyclo-tourist;

What need you pedal so fast?

Look how the snowy mountains

Heaven’s sun doth gently waste.

But my sun’s heavenly eyes

View not your sweating,

Cyclo-tourist now lie snoring

Softly, now softly snoring lies

Napping.

Sleep is a reconciling,

A rest that pedaling begets.

Doth not the sun rise smiling

When fair at even he sets?

Rest you then, rest, sad eyes,

Melt not in sweating

While randonneuse lies napping

Softly, now softly lies

Napping.

The constant poetry posting is a shameless ploy to boost this site’s stats. More infographics!
